Art Action ~ My Feelings Are a Work of ART National Children’s Mental Health Awareness Day “Thriving in the Community” May is Mental Health Month and this year’s focus is on early childhood; "positive mental health is essential to a child's healthy development from birth." On Thursday, May 6th, Grandma’s House observed National Children’s Mental Health Awareness Day by helping the children create art such as painting or drawing to raise awareness about the importance of mental health to the emotional, physical, and social development of children from birth and to initiate conversations between adults and young children about having and expressing feelings. |
