Before and After School Policy

 

Grandma’s House before and after school program is designed to foster an enjoyable and safe alternative for school age children.

 

An afternoon snack consistent with state regulations will be served to the children arriving after school.

 

Games, art materials, and age appropriate activities will be provided for the children arriving after school.

 

There will be a quiet area available for children who would like to work on their homework while at Grandma's House.  Parents may request specifically if they would like their child to complete homework while at the center. 

 

Outdoor and gross motor activities are part of the after school program.

 

Field trips and special activities are planned for the after school children when school is not in session.

 

Care is charged on a weekly basis.  All tuition payments are due in advance of attendance. 

 

Parents are responsible for notifying the center in the event that their child does not require transportation for the day.

 

A child will be discharged for nonpayment and for failure to complete state required paperwork.

 

·        Tuition fees are a flat weekly rate.  They are not based on how many days or hours your child attends during the week.  School off days and half days are included in these fees.  If your schedule is part-time, pro-rated rates are available.    School off days and half days are NOT included in pro-rated fees.  Please ask your director for specifics.

 

·        Tuition payments are due in advance of attendance.

 

·        Vacations are accepted but in order to receive credit, the whole week must be taken as vacation.  Vacation notices must be received in writing; one week in advance of attendance.

 

·        There will be no charge for days that the Center is closed.

 

·        In cases such as Christmas and Easter vacation, when school is not in session, the weekly rate will be omitted and the daily rate is paid. Tuition charges will be based on your predetermined schedule. 

 

·        There will be a $10.00 charge for failing to notify the center when your child does not require transportation.
