Creative Expressions

Ms. Michele is enhancing part of our NAEYC curriculum by doing a Creative Expressions class once a week at each center. Creative Expressions encompass art, music, drama and dance in ways that reflect cultural diversity. The children learn new concepts and vocabulary related to each of these areas through hands-on activities and projects. In addition to the Creative Expressions the children are exposed to daily with their classroom teachers, the Creative Expressions class gives the children a more focused opportunity to learn about: different artists through “artist study”, use creative movement and visualization techniques to experience drama, create art pieces using new media, participate in expressive dance and hear new genres of music.
